The open kitchen is well-equipped with a ceramic-top stove & convection oven, microwave, refrigerator, double sink. Water is drawn from a new well and is safe and pleasant-tasting. The dining room seats six comfortably & a covered porch offers a barbecue & additional seating in the summer months.

The summer offers excellent swimming, canoeing & kayaking from a sunny deck on a small point of land stretching out into the lake. Abundant wildlife including beaver, raccoon, deer, turtle, porcupine, and bird-life including blue-heron & loon are found in & around the lake. The lake is motor-free. For gas boats, lac Saint-Pierre & a public launch are five minutes away.

The well-insulated cabin is warm & comfortable in the winter. It is heated by a hi-efficiency wood-stove, with electric-baseboard heaters as back-up. Good quality firewood is supplied. There are several ski hills located nearby: Edelweiss is about 15 min., Mount Cascade and Vorlage about 25 min. each. One can snowshoe in the surrounding hills or cross-country ski around the lake or on groomed ski-trails at "Nakkertok" (about 12 min. from the cabin) or in Gatineau Park (about 25 min. away). The roads are kept well-cleared in winter (many people in the area are year-round residents who commute daily to Hull-Ottawa)

Groceries and supplies are available within a 5-10 min. drive to either the village of Saint-Pierre de Wakefield or the village of Poltimore.
