McDonald House- Built in 1848 of local white dolomitic marble and brown dolomite, the walls are thirty four inches thick: in his trademark square corner stones, we recognize the work of town mason Patrick Ratchford.
Home of Alexander McDonald, blacksmith, Anna (Mcintosh) teacher, and their
eleven children: one son, Wallace, was a Liberal Member of
Parliament.
